 Cancer Unwrapped - Teen Writing Contest


Deadline:  March 14, 2021

Award Amount:  $1,000- several cash prizes awarded

Description:   The Cancer Unwrapped Teen Writing Contest opens a dialog with teens about their emotions and realities when dealing with cancer whether their own diagnosis or that of a loved one. 

Eligibility:

  • Open to all students in the United States grades 9-12
  • Essay length 500-1000 words

DUE APRIL 15 - WE THE STUDENTS ESSAY CONTEST

 Bill of Rights Institute - We the Students Essay Contest



Deadline:  April 15

Description:  Essay contest. 500-800 words. 

Essay Prompt: What is the relationship between Equality and Justice?

1st place $7,500; 2nd place (5) $1,500; Honorable Mention (10) $500.

Eligibility:  

  • Must attend school in the US
  • Must be in grades 8-12
  • Must be 14-19 years old

DUE FEB 15 - ALZEIMER'S ESSAY CONTEST

Alzeimer's Foundation of America - Teen Scholarship Essay Contest

 

Deadline: February 15th, 2021

Scholarship winner amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000.

Eligibility: 

  • Be a senior in HS
  • Planning to attend a 4 year accredited US college/university in the fall of 2021
  • Submit a 1,200 to 1,500-word essay describing how Alzheimer's disease has impacted their lives and what they have learned about themselves, their family and/or their community through their experience with Alzheimer's 
  • Attach their unofficial/official high school transcript upon submitting their essay
