Berrien Community Foundation - David A. Hicks Scholarship for the Arts

Description: $1,000 non-renewable scholarship. This scholarship
was established by the family of David A. Hicks to celebrate his life.
David valiantly fought cancer throughout most of his teen years.
Throughout his illness, he was always more concerned with others than he
was with is own comfort. He was very interested in the arts and would
have pursued a career in the creative arts. Because of that, his family
established this scholarship to help other students pursue their
passion for performing, visual, or graphic arts.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 2.5 gpa
- Plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in the Arts - this includes performing, visual, and graphic arts
- Demonstrate financial need through a FAFSA Determination Letter
- Include a small sample of your chosen art
- To be used at a 2 or 4 year college/university or a vocational/technical institute for tuition, books, fees, and other costs but no room and board
